Celebrating National Identity on Flag Day

The UAE Flag is an important symbol of pride for both Emiratis and expats, and we joined with the rest of the country in raising our flag at school for UAE Flag Day on 3rd November. This marks the inauguration of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s as President in 2004.

Our students joined together in the playground and by getting in lines they made the shape of the UAE Flag. Each Grade was dressed in the national colours of either red, white, green or black, and then the rest of the day they learnt about the UAE flag and national identity in the rest of their lessons.
