Year 8 student Giovanni, at Reach British School, recently showcased his rugby skills by helping his U12’s Small Blacks Abu Dhabi team clinch victory against the top-ranked Dubai Tigers 1 in Al Ain. This competitive tournament, organised by the UAE Rugby Club Consortium, brought together the best rugby teams across the UAE, with Giovanni's team emerging victorious in a hard-fought match.
Giovanni's journey in rugby began at the age of 4, and his passion for the sport has only grown stronger. His dedication to training, physical fitness, and following his coach's guidance is evident in his performance. Giovanni's story is a testament to what can be achieved through perseverance and commitment.
In “If you seek to be part of a dynamic, engaging team sport or wish to stay active and bond with friends, then Rugby is the perfect sport for you,” says Giovanni, encouraging his peers to take up the sport.
