
Ms. Hanane is an educator and engineer from the Netherlands who holds a Master’s degree in Science in the field of Complex Systems Engineering. Her background in communications engineering has allowed her to teach mathematics and physics across all-year groups. Before joining RBS in 2018, Ms. Hanane was an educator and Senior Leader at British International Schools in Cairo, Egypt. Her experiences as a project consultant have allowed her to implement innovative projects within several schools. Ms. Hanane started her leadership journey as Head of Department in 2012 and has since then developed expertise within the roles of Head of Innovation and Head of Special Projects. Her experiences include the integration of ICTs within the curriculum, assessment and reporting, data management and professional development of staff.
Over recent years, Hanane’s leadership journey specialised in change management and innovation. She has successfully implemented the courses of computer science as well as design and technology. She has overseen and driven the development of a summative assessment system where the focus was to ensure quality of assessments, setting year targets, analysing class, year and key stage data and drafting action plans for all core curricula in order to accelerate student progress and attainment.
Shortly after joining Reach in 2018, Ms Hanane was appointed Head of Special Projects. She has been responsible for implementing innovative projects and incorporated the learning tool ‘Mathletics’ school-wide. Under her tenure, the school was recognised by 3P learning as the most successful school in the UAE when it comes to utilising the tool to accelerate student progress. She furthermore facilitated school-wide integration of Google Classroom and the incorporation of a Digital Intelligence curriculum within ICT. In 2019 Ms Hanane was appointed Assistant Head of Secondary, tasked with supporting the Head of Secondary in areas such as curriculum implementation, teaching and assessment, safeguarding of students, marketing and student retention, resource management and student performance.
