Every year in October, companies around the world do their bit to raise awareness about breast cancer. From campaigning to help women get access to the breast cancer drugs they need, to sharing information women need to know about self-checking, our support helps to reach the day when breast cancer has claimed its last life.
Reach British School got involved in the “wear it pink” campaign, and all teachers and students wore an item of clothing that was pink to show support for the cause. Participants donated a small amount of money to the cause, in support of fundraising for charities who fight against the disease. Last year the event was a success, but this year was event better!
Students ran their own bake sale, and combined with the donations from wear it pink we fundraised over 8,000 dirhams – an astonishing sum that everyone who took part should be very proud of. We proud to lead the charge with other Abu Dhabi schools and businesses. Here are just some of the photos from our favourite parts of the day. You can share yours on our Facebook page, and make sure you use #wearitpink, #reachbritishschool and #iamsavinglives so we can share your good work with our school community.
