Student Progress

When students start their learning journey with us, we establish their academic starting points against the learning outcomes of The National Curriculum of England.

Part of our focus is to track and monitor progress using a range of methodologies, technologies and assessments and to use the data to support our learners through differentiated instruction.

Classroom Monitor is a very effective online progress tracking tool that we use to record student data. It helps our teachers to make informed decisions to plan learning for our students.

GL Progress Tests provide us with international benchmarked data. It measures age expected progress over time and includes detailed reports about a student’s strengths and areas for improvement in English, Mathematics and Science.

The Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4) is a diagnostic assessment that is designed to help students and their teachers understand how they learn and what their academic potential might be. It assesses how students think in areas that are known to make a difference to learning. While many tests focus on a child’s attainment in core subjects, CAT4 is designed to give schools a much broader, more rounded view of each child, their potential and how they learn. Results help teachers decide about the pace of learning that is right for a student and whether additional support or challenge is needed.

EvidenceMe enables our Early Years teachers to create online portfolios for our students. The data is shared with parents to provide them with a clear indication of their child’s progress against the Ages and Stages outcomes of the Development Matters curriculum.
