Our Sports hall was full of excitement and joy as we welcomed one of the most popular radio channels in the UAE – Al Arabiya FM, to our school.
As the most anticipated event in September, our Year 5, 6, and 7 students warmly welcomed the Radio presenters, Ms. Heba, Mr. Wael, and Mr. Rafat, from Al Arabiya FM.
While the RJs visited, our students participated in various fun games such as musical chairs, paper throwing, and trivia games. Vouchers were given to all participants, while the winners of the paper-throwing game took home digital tablets.
To showcase the talents of our students, Ghala, one of our Year 5 students, performed a lovely song and serenaded the crowd. Ghala was surprised to receive a fantastic gift from the Al Arabiya team. She had tears of joy as she received the guitar.
It was not only our students who had a great time but our amazing teachers as well. They, too, participated in various games and received terrific prices.
As for students, here is what they had to say:
“It was great to have them here at school. I enjoyed the games and I won a voucher.” – Laura A.
“I am so happy to have received a gift from them. I want to thank them for the guitar.” – Ghala
Our Assistant Principal in Primary, Mr. Asif said: “Children in Year 5, 6 and 7 were very fortunate to take part in an event led by Al Arabiya FM. The event with Al Arabiya is an important event as the school builds links with our community – it was great to hear the wonderful feedback from Al Arabiya FM regarding student engagement and how as a host school, we exceeded expectations. Thank you, Al Arabiya – you are more than welcome to visit again!”
