As part of our Health and Fitness Week, our community came together for this fun and action-filled event, where our students from Nursery to Year 13 showcased their skills in different sports.
Our EYFS Department had a fantastic day trying new sports activities like hurdles, bean bag throw, long jump, and egg and spoon races. Our Sports Day helped our students learn new skills and build their confidence. At the end of the function, they all received beautiful certificates to celebrate their success.
Our Year 1 to Year 4 students took part in various challenging sports activities which are essential for their fitness, health, and positive overall development. Some of the activities they participated in were a 30-meter run, Egg and spoon races, obstacle course races, speed bounce over cones, standing long jump, and bean bag throw.
Some of our students shared their amazing experiences from our Sports Day:
Talia – Y2 Toucans
“I liked the running races on Sports Day. My mum, dad and brother came to watch me. My brother tried to join in during the running races and it was fun.”
Rashed – Y4 Pacific
‘Our Sports Day was a fantastic experience with all of the parents watching. I loved the throwing and the racing. It was astonishing. I can’t wait until next year. Thank you, teachers.”
Dzakiyah – Y4 Pacific

Our Year 5 to Year 12 students brought some fun and action to the running track at Zayed Sports City for their Sports Day, and this day was packed with fun, drama, challenge and excitement.
Mr Jonny, our Secondary PE Specialist
“The benefits of sports and these types of occasions, in particular, help our students physically, mentally and socially. This one certainly didn’t disappoint!”
They took part in a series of events including the 100-meter sprint, triple jump, tug of war and more. The day had a lot of high energy, noise, encouragement and firm resolve. Every student played their part. it was amazing to see our students cheering each other on in every activity.
Well done to all our students for their efforts and especially well done to Blue house for coming out on top this year.
Here's what our Intermational Secondary School students had to say about their unforgettable day:
Jose – Y10 Flamingoes
"This was my very first sports day as an RBS student. I would have to say it was a unique and amazing experience, spending my whole day with my fellow students. I was super happy that blue house won and very proud that I was able to lift the trophy in front of the school."
Hala – Y8 Salukis
"This year was an amazing experience as I got to participate in the RBS Sports Day. Some of the sports I did were the triple jump, tug of war, and the 100-meter sprint. It was an amazing experience as both students and teachers got to participate in the events."
